Blackwell Court Residential 

Monday 16th October - Wednesday 18th October 2017 

Please attend the parent meeting on Monday 25th September 2017 at 3.30pm for all the information concerning this residential.

SATS

This years SATs will begin on Monday 14th May 2018 and finish on Thursday 17th May 2018.  A Parents Information Meeting will be held in the Spring. 

Attendance and Punctuality

Due to the importance of this year it is essential that your child is punctual and has excellent attendance.

PE

Every Friday afternoon - Kit needed - T-shirt in house colour, black shorts, leggings or tracksuit bottoms, trainers - no exceptions or alterations

Homework 

English and Maths homework  will be sent out on a Friday and is due back on Wednesday, adult support is always appreciated.

Reading - Your child will have a library book and is expected to read for at least 15 minutes a day.  Library books must be bought into school everyday so that children are able to complete their Accelerated Reading Quizzes.

Spellings - Spellings will be sent out on a Friday and tested the following Friday.

Independent Travel to and from School

Children in Year 6 are allowed to travel to and from school alone with written permission from a parent or guardian.  They are not allowed to collect any siblings in other year groups. 

Mobile Phones

Year 6 children who independently travel to and from school are allowed to bring their phone into school.  They have to be handed in to the teacher and kept in a safe place until the end of the day.  They are not allowed to use their phones on the school site, including the playground.
