Christmas 2017

Once Upon a Christmas - School Concert

A big well done to all the children for their hard work in preparing a song for the Christmas Concert. Each class performed a Christmas song and the Choir also sang beautifully. A special shout out to Mr Eaton for being a festive Christmas Tree!  Thank you to Mr Slyzyk, Mr Hill and Mrs Alexander for their hard work in organising the concert.

Winter Wonderland Ball

After walking down the red carpet, the children entered a Winter Wonderland Ball where the whole hall was decorated. All the parents, children and staff had a wonderful time dancing the night away. Thank you to the FSA and staff who helped make this event happen. A special well done to Karen, our FSA Chair, who ran her first event with passion. Thank you to Lisa for providing cakes, Morrisons and Tescos for donating food and to all our other raffle prize donors. We couldn’t have done it without you.

 Reception Nativity

The reception children performed their rendition of the Nativity Party. With some amazing singing, dancing and acting, they really put on an amazing show for everyone watching. They are superstars in the making. Thank you to the Reception team for all their hard work in preparing the children so well for their performance. We had to make the decision to hold the Nativity at school instead of Church due to the ice. The Reception children handled this change with ease. Well done, Reception!

Edgbaston Lights Switch-On

Our School Choir were invited to sing at the Christmas Lights Switch-On which takes place outside St George’s Church. While waiting to go on stage, the children visited Santa and his reindeers and told him what they wanted for Christmas this year! The children then performed four songs alongside Hallfield Primary School and in front of a large crowd of people. Afterwards, Kareem and Breanna were chosen to switch on the lights all over Edgbaston. The children were really well behaved and enjoyed every minute of it, despite the bitterly cold winter’s night! Well done St George’s Choir!
