Special Educational Needs

Welcome

My name is Mrs. Doyle and I am the school’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo).  I  am responsible for coordinating the support for children with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) and developing the school’s SEND Policy to ensure all children get a consistent, high-quality response to meeting their needs in school.

If you have any concerns about your child’s progress please come and talk to me.  Your first contact should be with the class teacher. However, if you wish to speak to me you will find me in the playground most days before and after school.  If you would like to make an appointment to speak to me or to see me, please phone the school office, leave a message and I will return your call.

All members of staff, in conjunction with the authorities, have a responsibility for ensuring that all children can succeed and have an equal opportunity to attain their maximum potential in all aspects of the curriculum. All children are entitled to a broad and balanced curriculum, including the National Curriculum, and their relative progress will be recorded, valued and reviewed.

Please see our SEN Policy, SEND Information Report and the school's SEN Offer below for a full overview of our SEN Provision. Please also visit the Birmingham City Council Local Offer by clicking here for more information on Birmingham's support services for children with special educational needs.
